I took this to a breakfast at m sons house.And everyone loved it! The only thing I did was I mixed the bred nd the mixed egg mix together and put 1/2 in pan.Then blueberries and creamcheese.The rest of the bread mixture on top.Not so dry this way.


This is truly delish...and Different. When making stratas, though, I personally don't like bread cubes so I remove all crusts from day old bread (use potato bread)then Shred each slice of bread into small pieces.You get a much more even layering this way and the milk and eggs seem to get absorbed better. I also took This recipe and used the full 2 bars of cream cheese but, again,tore them into smaller pieces.I also added about 1/2 cup more blueberries than called for. Everything thru the baking was the same but for the sauce I added some raspberries and blackberries I had to use up and also added about 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. lemon juice to bring out all the flavors in the sauce. Needless to say, the recipe was for 10 - there were 4 of us - and absolutely Nothing was left. Thanks Karen.This is now part of my "Holiday" brunch items.
