I wonder if Mozzarella would work for cheese?? The idea of mixing creamed soup and mozzarella just doesn't sound good but that's all I have on hand for cheese..

I agree with Sheleigh64 as I would MIX EVERYTHING BEFORE putting it in the dish and I would also SPRAY the dish with a non-stick spray otherwise, your "Clean-up" will NOT be an easy one. And when using a "Minute Rice" it is NOT necessary to cook it ahead of time. I pre-cook my broccoli & onions in water for about 5 minutes (I use FROZEN Broccoli Florets so there's no cutting ahead of time) after the broccoli & onions have cooked you can add your Minute Rice AND Soup=I use Cream of Chicken and I use the 16 oz. Cheeze Whiz rather than the "Cheese food" & have to cut this up too. Then you had your cooked chicken breast (Rather than CANNED) & mix it all together. Then put in the Sprayed dish & bake about 45 minutes. It is delicious!

Looks yummy, but wouldn't it be easier to mix all your ingredients in a large bowl and THEN spread it in the 9x13? Seems difficult and messy the other way.

I made this yesterday, minus the onions. My family loved it. They usually do not eat left overs but did this time!

Was thinking the same thing Naterz. With this many steps/ingredients, why not just use cooked leftover chicken meat, real cheese, and perhaps less canned soups - for something closer to homemade without the poor health ingredients. I only wonder how fast, not how many, packaged heart attacks would sell.

I will definitely be making this! I was looking for a recipe to make with ingredients I already have on hand: I have leftover chicken breasts I need to use up, fresh broccoli in the fridge, and a can of cream of mushroom soup that's been in my cupboard for weeks. Perfect! However, just hearing someone say "cheese food product" grosses me out - I'll be using some real cheese I have on hand!

This was absolutely delicious. It waa a huge hit and everyone came back for seconds and thirds. I never even had any left, to poke away for later, which is trully a complement to this meal and it made me feel fantastic, as the cook. You have to give this a go some day. It trully will be a winner for you. Good Luck and Bon Appetite !!!!
