It sounds good, but call me a curmudgeon. I don't like using mixes. Manufacturers put things in them (chemicals, extra salt and sugar) that normal recipes wouldn't call for.

I don't buy canned corn & will be using creamed & cut corn that I put up this past summer. The corn is white but the Jiffy Mix is yellow corn meal so I'm hoping this will come out OK. Can't wait to try it as my husband is always wanting me to use our corn that is in the freezer.

I too have been making this family recipe since 1982. I sprinkle shredded cheese over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking. It is delicious!

Love this! I only have an 8x8 baking dish. So it needs to cook more like 55-60 mins., but delicious just the same.

Absolutely loved this! Easy & tasty. (Would consider adding a little salt, though). This smelled & tasted like corn bread with the texture like a souffle. Will definitely be making this again!

My grandmother saved this exact recipe from a can of corn in the early 1950's. This has been a family holiday tradition since. When my mom passed away several years ago I inherited the can label along with keeping the tradition intact. This label will go to my granddaughter when she marries next year It's one of my most treasured possessions. Funny the oddball things we end up cherishing but that an label holds generations of family holiday memories.

I have also received rave reviews on this recipe (kids and adults alike!). To make the recipe a little more healthy, I reduce the butter by one tablespoon, use only 3 eggs - not 4, and use low fat sour cream. I can't really tell the difference between that and the original recipe!

I Love this Dish. My Mother IN Law gave me the recipe. I like to add 1/2 C of Diced Green Chilies. Spice it UP!
