If you don't want your burger to shrink and fatten as it cooks, put an indentation with your thumb in the middle of the patty before grilling.

Burgers are much better if they are not so thick. Flatten out before cooking.

Yes..20% hamburger is usually called ground chuck. The amount of time needed to cook can only be approximated as it depends on how thick you make the burgers, how high the heat is etc. Most burgers are done with 3-4 min per side on a high heat.(again..the thicker the burger the need to allow more time.). Hope that helps. One other hint... season the meat beforehand, plain hamburger can be boring. Salt & pepper,or garlic salt,or Lawreys seasoning salt and our favorite is Montreal steak seasoning. All are good.

The video on grilling burgers doesn't mention how long to cook like the videos on chicken, shrimp, etc. Is there a time limit or do you test for doneness?
