Mix cream corn, niblet corn and peas for the veggies. Add strips of bacon on top and squirt a couple of lines of ketchup and sprinkle parmesian cheese. Then bake.

I add about 1.5 cups of broth and thicken it with about 2 tbsp. of powdered Bisto for added flavor. You can add a grated garlic bulb to the meat mixture for even more flavor. If you mash the potatoes with butter and about 1/2 cup of milk then whip them with a whisk, the potatoes will be lighter and fluffier. To get a nice toasted brown crust, run the tines of a fork in a circular motion across the top of the potatoes. A sprinkle of seasoning salt or paprika adds a nice dash of colour.

I've made shepherd's pie quite a bit and I LOVE it! It really is one of my go-to winter meals when I want something easy, cheap, and fairly quick for a homemade meal. Plus, I like to toss in random vegetables I need to use from the fridge. Thinking about tossing one together tonight now! Looks too yummy to resist!

great and easy recipe even better without peas and if you add a little red or white wine with the meat! I always yukon gold potatoes!
