Just wondering if cooking bacon in oven, does it not spatter and grease up your oven?

I like parchment paper for cooking bacon in the microwave. It cooks better and you have less of the spotted burning that is typical when using paper towel.

I invested in the Bacon Genie, for cooking in the microwave - it's handy, & easy to pour off the fat. Cleanup is fast,& it is in 2 pieces for storage!

I haven't had very good luck with the microwave method. The bacon always sticks to the paper towel. I do love making it in the oven though! No mess like on the stove. I've also started cooking mine on our outdoor grill, especially if I'm already making burgers. I just put it over very low flame and turn it frequently. It surprisingly doesn't cause too many flare ups!

I never knew I could overlap my bacon. I always thought it would stick together! Three great ways to cook bacon! Yummy!

I prefer to prepare a few pounds at a time and reheat in microwave as needed. Spread the bacon on wire baking rack placed in jelly roll pan. 400 for approx 20 mins depending on strip size. Grease drips away from meat and easy to clean up, especially if you line jelly roll pan with foil and spray rack with nonstick spray. I like to cool cooked between paper towels to absorb excess fat. Handy to always have cooked bacon for all cooking!

The best way I was taught by my Mom was to use yesterdays newspaper. Open to center and place 2 sheets of paper towel on either side. Layer your bacon and close newspaper. Cook till done and remove bacon,put paper in trash and No clean up at all!
