okay so how much shortning our we suppost to use? also has everyone used the glass bowl im scared of it breaking while over the heat.?

when i tried to do it the glass bowl broke and shattered and i had to throw it all away .

The toothpick or skewer is a good idea. I will try that. I've not seen the shortening in the chocolate mix. Could even add a touch of Grand Marinier to the mix too.

I decided to make them for Valentine's day, came out delicious! So easy to make, I suggest using some type of styrofoam to pin the strawberries after dipping them in chocolate using a toothpick, this way they have a nice even chocolate coating all around.

I make these all the time when the berries are in season. So easy t make and soooo impresive~YUM!
