I moved from sea level to 5000 ft elevation and always trying to figure out what to do for high altitude baking. Most recipes, other than box, don't mention any modifications for altitude but my experience tells me I have to do something.

never open the oven an if there are going to be any loud noises i would suggest clearing your kitchen this possibly maybe the very reason as to why your cake fell, also if your elevation called for more flour an it was not included that also could have contributed to your cake falling, best wishes on your next cake.

I made this cake as per the recipe and video. It is delicious! My cakes fell before I even got them out of the oven. Any suggestions to prevent this next time. The cake was very involved but sooooo with the time. Now if I can just figure out why they fell. My guests loved it as well and said they thought it was designed with a swag in the center...LOL NIce of them but I'd like to try it again. I live at 6300 ft elevation any modification for high altitude?
