Cake Mix Cookies VIII

In this video, you’ll see how to whip up a batch of fresh cookies in no time. The key is starting with a boxed cake mix. You can use whatever flavor cake and chips you like, and feel free to mix it up. Butterscotch, white chocolate, and peanut butter chips go well in a chocolate batter. Deb, That's great advice, but this recipe doesn't include any water. Mariannefromfl, don't worry, it comes out fine, just don't use extra large eggs. Two medium or large eggs and 1/2 c butter is perfect. If you use XL or Jumbo eggs, your cookies will be more "cakey"

Mariannefromfl, it has been a couple years since all the brands changed from an 18ozmix to approx 15-16 oz. Betty Croker started it, and Duncan Hines and Pillsbury fell like dominoes. It's only a matter of approx 2 oz (or tablespoons), so just add slightly less water, that's all you have to do.

Has anyone noticed that the box size of cake mixes has changed since these recipes first appeared? I bought a box of Betty Crocker devil's food cake mix and it was 15 1/4 ounces. How about some recipe changes to adjust to the smaller sizes.
