Mine turned out great. Fast for time I added 2 cups fresh mushrooms, 2 onion, 3 garlic cloves, red wine, pepper flakes. Don't be disappointed, change it. I also spooned off the fat from the ground beef.

I add dill weed and mustard to this basic recipe. It improves the taste and it is still "easy".

I will be cooking this tonight. I will add garlic with the onions and mushrooms (like suggested). With the sauce, I am going to use cream of mushroom soup, a little Worcestershire sauce and some red pepper flakes for zip. I think that should zap up the bland and bring out the flavor of the sauce.

Why cook the noodles first? Surely they are cold by the time the sauce is finished.

I actually used beef tips instead and sauteed that together with fresh mushrooms and onions. Then once noodles were done I combined everything with a can of cream mushroom soup and a can of milk. Yummy!!

I can see how someone with younger kids might like this recipe, as it is very bland and "kid friendly"(noodles and hamburger)However, I have no kids, and this was very reminiscent of the 'Hamburger Helper' I made in college because I didn't know how to cook at that time. Not terrible. But not delicious either.

I was very, very disappointed with this recipe. It was incredibly bland. Just had almost no flavor whatsoever. I fixed it by replacing the sour cream with french onion dip and adding a cup of cheddar.
