it doesn't tell you how to get the junk off of the seeds; and it didn't say to use parchement paper~! just sayin'

This method doesn't work for me. I used to roast them like this but none of my seasonings, especially the salt, ever stuck to the seed. After rinsing, I pour the wet seeds into a bowl and add my seasonings. I even add a few teaspoons of water to help the salt dissolve before I place in the oven. No oil is necessary but is optional for taste. The seasonings are endless. I've made mine with a few sprinkles of Worcestershire sauce and salt, vinegar and salt, chili, salt, and lime. I make these every year when we carve the pumpkin and the kids love it. I use the same method to roast pinon. These can even be made in the microwave to save time, although they do come out better in the oven. For roasting in the microwave, I use the method I mentioned above. I place a napkin over the bowl and place in the microwave at a high setting for about two minutes. Stir. Put back in for another two minutes. Stir. Check. After the second time I put the bowl in the microwave at 30 second interval

I just made this recipe with my 7 year old. He watched the video and was able to do everything!! He was very surprised that he could make cinnamon and sugar flavored seeds. Before I watched the video, I was going to let the seeds dry out for 24 hours. Instead, we rinsed the seeds in a collander and then dried them with paper towels. I sprayed the seeds with a vegetable oil spray and then added the seasonings. We did one batch of cinnamon/sugar and one batch using seasoned salt. Both batches came out perfect!!

It's not that easy to get all the pumpkin 'guts' off the seeds. I gave up after a while.

I prefer my mother's way of roasting the seeds. She spread them on a baking sheet JUST to dry overnight. Once dry, she would spray an iron skillet with PAM. I use olive oil PAM, I constantly stir and toss over medium heat and toward the end I season with Hawaiian salt.

Except for the fact that I oil and season them in a bowl before I spread them on the baking sheet, I would say that's pretty much it.
