This was the 1ST time I had ever made jam. This recipe was amazing! So any of you 1st timers this is the EASIEST and MOST WONDERFUL RECIPE to make. Good luck to all that try. FYI...ran out of white sugar so subsituted organic brown sugar! Just cut the BS by a 1/2 a cup and as you keep making batches play around with that measurement.My sugar ratio was 1/2 c white sugar ( that was what I had on hand) and then 3 cups of the brown. I used a whole thin skinned lemon rather than bottled lemon juice. Upon measuring it came out to about a 1/4c of juice or whatever. It worked so that was all that mattered. Uncovered, medium/low rolling boil after bringing it to a full boil. after about 20-30 min turned off heat. I then let it sit for about 20 min and it thickened up just to the way I wanted it to be. I am going to try BLUEBERRIES next. I most probably will get organic sugar and give that a try instead of the brown. I used what I had on hand and tweaked the recipe. I was very happy wi

Do this recipe have a shelf life on it or do it have to refrigerated just as soo it's made

Not a comment but question Can you use any fruit with this recipe ie cheeses, Saskatoon berries

does this recipe work with blueberries as well? I have both blueberry and strawberry plants AND I am new to canning lol. Thanks!

I don't mean to critize...but canning in a WBC means the water needs to be 2" above the lid of the jars. Your video shows it up to the rings.
