You have overcomplicated this. Just sauté your veggies in seasame oil and push to one side of pan. Lower heat and add raw eggs for scrambling on the opposite side. When done, increase heat mix with rice and add soy/oyster sauce. All in one pan!

This recipe is amazing and very easy to make. If your not a meat eater then you could also replace the chicken with tofu or fish.

I like the fried rice when I go to a Tia Restraunt that is called Tia Fried Rice that I can get that can be gotten in different degrees of hot spice. What is used to get the spicy taste? Also when is it added to the dish?

I love fried rice. The addition of garlic is a must. And use butter - gives it so much more flavor.

I have to say, this was neat to see the take on fried rice, but my family has been doing ours differently. I don't use that much oil at all. We always add veggies and meats first, with sesame oil and soy sauce, cooked rice, adjust with soy sauce and sesame oil after rice has been fully incorperated & scrabbled eggs last because they dry out too fast. But a good video for beginners.

I would have never thought to add soy sauce and garlic to my fried rice. No wonder it didn't taste like I wanted it to! I'm going to try this tonight. I have plenty of leftover rice.

I love fried rice. I always make sure I have cabbage to throw in to the veggie mix when I make it. Yum.

I used half the oil in a none-stick pan and it turned out awesome. I used eggs, rice, carettes, green onions, purple onions, red peppers and left over chicken. It was really awesome and I'll 100% make it again. It was easy with a really fast clean up.

Use fresh veggies if possible. A wok is necessary if cooking for more than one person, so as to appropriately and thoroughly stir and incorporate flavors. Cook veggies with 1 Tb. oil with ginger and garlic. Move veggies onto a plate. Do not wipe out wok or pan only to add more oil. That is senseless, as it would take out flavors and crispy garlic/ginger. If using meat, start from raw form, with smaller pieces that cook rapidly, also cooking with garlic and ginger in oil. Take it out and reserve on plate. Your day old rice should have a Tb. oil incorporated into it, use fingers to massage it so that you aren't adding more oil later. Cook this on med high heat, allowing it to brown a bit before adding dark soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce or sugar. Add 1-2 eggs to wok with rice: scramble lightly, allowing it to sit a bit. Incorporate egg, veggies, and meat if you have it. Serve with snipped cilantro and crunchy green onions.
