I make black beans similarly but with these changes: OMIT cilantro. In addition to the ingredients shown in the video I add ground cumin, small amount of chili powder and a small amount of ancho chile powder.

Betty & Flora. I agree, but I did find at the END of the description of the video(s) (right under the video window) there is the name of the recipe, high lighted. Click on it and the written recipe will come right up.

This is a great recipe. I simmer it a bit longer. It is better than many much more involved recipes. Delicious. We serve it over Coconut-Lime rice. Amazing.

Canned black beans already have too much salt. Adding as much as seen in the video is not necessary. For those who are sodium sensitive rinse the beans first. Garlic can replace salt or a salt substitute would work.
