I think PP is not secluded to just Carolina..and even tho' the recipe is not smoked it is a fair alternative to cooking pork OR beef in this method. Being a Texan..we appreciate different methods of cooking. Not EVERYONE in Texas owns a smoker and/or wood fire.Low and slow is what a crock pot or slow cooker does..the oven works as well. My uncle cooked his brisket in the oven for 18-24 hours on LOW heat and everyone went crazy over it. The only thing ' lame' is your review.
