Made this tonight. My eldest son is not a fan of pork chops, but I wanted to give this a try. Well guess what... he ate his entire chop! It was so good and not too sweet. The only thing is you will want to keep an eye on the time. I read that someone else had an issue where they were done after 3-4 hours. I planned mine to be 4 hrs so I could have the rest of dinner done at the same time. They were done after 3 hrs. Turned to crock to "warm" for the last hour. Chops were a little dry and tough but not too bad since I poured some of the sauce over them on the plate. A big Thank You to whoever posted this.

I'm not big on my meats being sweet, and considering the brown sugar, is this recipe very sweet tasting hope not because it looks amazing and want to try it.

It would be helpful to know calorie count as well as sodium and sugar content for those of us who watch intake of these things.

Be careful with the cooking time. I tried this recipie on the low temperature and after 4 hours, the temperature of the pork chops was 160 degrees and my slow cooker has been tested for accuracy. I'd recommend you check the temperature after 3 or 4 hours. The flavor was magnificent, but the meat was extremely tough due to overcooking.

Well, if we are comparing ages....I will be 83 in December. To me the recipe was nothing special as pointed out sodium overload.

Excellent recipie, fun to play with. I use a bit more garlic, sliced rather than crushed. I also reduce latch up and add some Sriracha chil sauce. Another adjustment that I find works is to go with a reduced sodium soy sauce, especially since you are possibly adding sea salt already, the flavor is still there...
