I use things like this for the idea only and then "translate" it into a recipe using real ingredients. So this is a great idea, but I would just use my own spices and such. Low or no salt.

I agree, while convenient they aren't worth the side affects of all the sodium and especially the MSG!

most of these type mixes are loaded with MSG (even hidden msg e.g.: natural flavors, autolyzed yeast, soy protein, modified food starch, whey protein concentrate, maltodextrin, etc). does anyone know if any of these, or other 'hidden' msg culprits are in the ingredients? this is why I don't typically use any pre-mixes even though they are convenient.
