I double this recipe and get enough for three crusts. I also use my food processor. This is by far my favorite pie crust recipe. The crust keeps in the fridge for a few days and can also be put in the freezer for later. Rolls out PERFECT!

Janie, I was once told to add small or cracked tapioca grains on to the bottom of the crust before adding the fruit filling mixture. It will absorb the extra juice.

I can't wait to make my own pie crusts for my home made chicken pot pie. I'm so tired of buying pie crusts from the grocery store only to get them home and open them up to discover that the crusts are broken. Thank you for the recipe.

Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes? Also, how do you prevent pie crust from becoming soggy from fruit filling? What about brushing crust with egg white or egg yoke before cooking to prevent soggy crust? Or, do you bake it 10 minutes, brush with egg white and return to oven for 10 minutes? Do you use Pam on pie plate to prevent sticking? I am getting gummy, soggy crust.

I just finished baking my apple pie using the butter flaky pie crust recipe and I must say that this is the best recipe I've ever tried. So easy to roll-it was perfect! I wanted to do a double crust but my daughter would prefer the crumbs on top. I love the recipe and will definitely use this again! Thank you! I am submitting a photo of my pie as well.

i would love to use that pie crust for my lemon meringue but how should it be baked? for ten minutes at 180° celsius?
