I LOVE french toast and this recipe is great. The only change I made was adding a little extra cinnamon (a heaping tsp.) and cutting the nutmeg back to about 1/8 tsp. It was perfect!
Family didn't care for it.
Delicious, I made only a few changes: I toast them in butter instead of oil, use a lot less nutmeg and sprinkle them with sliced almonds. Sometimes I add a bit of cream along with the milk and use brown sugar as well.
This recipe makes perfectly delicious french toast! I made it twice in one week we liked it so much. This will definitely be my standard recipe for this dish.
This recipe is definitely a 5 because it is so easy to make. I used thicker Texas Toast and my husband loved it. Served it with maple syrup.
I made this for a brunch and it was pretty tasty. I thought the nutmeg was a little too strong though. Next time I'll probably just leave it out. But over all it was good french toast. I served it with a blueberry sauce that I got from this site. Everyone enjoyed it !
This recipe makes the best french toast I have ever eaten in my life. My husband usually doesnt like french toast but he eats this and says its good. The kids love it. They will even eat it without syrup.
Excellent recipe! I don't know how many times I've made this one...lots. I'm about to make it again this morning. My picky boys LOVE it. I even make it with whole wheat bread and it's wonderful! Yummmm!! I add extra cinnamon like one of the posters said.
