I felt this was a very watery recipe. Needed more potatoes than 6. I added 2 more and it was still soupy, I think you need to add more starch for sure! Also, this was a very sweet potato salad.

Really good! Very creamy. However, I don't like to much sugar in my food (only desserts) so I cut the sugar in half. Next time I will add even less.

This recipe was great! I added an additional 1/4 cup of mayonnaise as the salad was a bit dry. Once I did the flavors all melded together beautifully. I will definately make this again.

This was my first time making homemade potato salad - I really enjoyed the flavors! I took advice and added 2 tsp of cornstarch instead of 1, which made a thicker sauce - turned out perfect! Also added 1/2 cup relish - YUM!

Removed the "eyes" from the potatoes as I don't like things staring at me when I am eating them. Thought I would give it a try although I have about 30 recipes for salad dressings and mayonnaise and found the amount of sugar was too much and used English mustard powder instead of the sweet yellow stuff. Also, an old chef's trick, return the potatoes to the pan over very low heat, and place a cloth directly onto the potatoes. Leave for about 1 minute to remove any remaining moisture from the potatoes or they stay wet. All ended in the garbage.

I think it was ok but a little too sweet for my taste.

I made this today exactly as in the recipe. I didn't like the taste and there was way too much creamy, vinegary, mayonnaisey mixture for the amount of potatoes and eggs. I wound up cooking more potatoes, five pounds in total, and added them to what I had. The proportions were much better and it was edible, but not very good. I'm hoping it will improve with age overnight. I doubt it.

This an awesome recipe, perhaps more for the "southern" taste. Reminds me of my mother's which I could never quite duplicate. The addition of celery seed is good, and you can vary the amount of onions, sugar and celery to taste. Deserves a 5 star rating every time. Make a day a head of time and it's even BETTER!! Perfect for potlucks!

Good, but too sweet for our taste. The basic recipe was good, but will try again without sugar.
