Without the brandy, it will taste okay. However, adding brandy gives the Sangria more of a kick and a depth of flavor. I personally wouldn't leave it out (I love adding apricot brandy to this white recipe!), but make it your own! The great thing about recipes is that they are just a starting point.
I haven't tried this yet but it sounds delicious. Just mainly wanted to inform another person (Hannah) that you can buy half pints of brandy and you wouldn't be wasting any. You can always save the rest for another time you make the recipe. I've given a 5 star because it sounds so good and they wouldn't let me post without it.
This sounds delicious - I wanted to ask, will it taste about the same without the brandy? I don't want to buy a whole bottle of brandy to use just 1 cup (i would never drink it other than for this).
Made this for a dinner party last weekend. It was a huge hit! Will definitely be making this again. Delicious!
I replaced the brandy with Malibu Rum! Perfect summer treat!
