Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1/2 cup whiskey (such as Jack Daniel's®)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

Directions

  1. To make the marinade, whisk together the canola oil, garlic, whiskey, orange juice, lime juice, cumin, and soy sauce.
  2. To use the marinade, pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add up to two pounds of meat, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
