1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound venison stew meat
1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips

1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
1 small onion, chopped
1 (6.8 ounce) package beef flavored rice mix

Directions

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the venison chunks, and cook until nicely browned on the outside and almost cooked through.
Prepare the beef flavored rice mix according to package directions. While the rice is cooking, add the venison, green pepper, red pepper and onion. Simmer until rice is done and peppers are tender.

This was very good! However, I baked the venison tips in the oven for 3 hours to get it just right tender. As you know, wild game is tough unless you take special care with it. A crockpot would cook it tender, too, but I didn't have all day to wait. I then added it to the rice mixture. My huband loved this and so did I. Thanks!

I would have rated this only as a 1 star if it were only me eating it, but my hubby and 2yr old ate it up. I needed to use up the deer that has been in our freezer for awhile and I liked the idea of the fresh veggies. It really didn't suite my taste buds at all. I do not care for venison and tried this because several people commented about how they don't like venison but enjoyed this dish. I can't say I'm among that group. Not a fan - won't be making this again.

This was an excellent supper. Very easy to throw together. I substituted the beef rice mix for Zatarain's Dirty Rice mix which was on hand and has more flavor. Will make again and again.

This recipe couldn't have been easier! I followed the recipe exactly and my 7 year old ate 3 helpings! Venison always sits in our freezer because I am too lazy to do all the weird things people recommend to get rid of the gamey flavor, but this recipe was sooooo easy that I will probably make it again soon. Thanks for the simple easy dinner idea!!

This is my husband's favorite for the old deer meet in the freezer. Because deer meet cooks very fast (at least here in texas) I barely browned them and let them finish cooking with the rice. I also finely chopped up onion and pablano peppers and added them (sauted first).
