Directions

  1. Pour milk into a steaming pitcher and heat to 145 degrees F to 165 degrees F (65 to 70 degrees C) using the steaming wand. Measure the vanilla syrup into a large coffee mug. Brew espresso, then add to mug. Pour the steamed milk into the mug, using a spoon to hold back the foam. Spoon foam over the top.

Milk must be steamed first before shots are pulled. When all 3 ingrediants are combined at the same time the latte has more of a carmely taste rather than bitter.

When you steam the latte with the vanilla syrup the froth on top will taste awefully good.

Not my "cup of tea"as I'm not a fan of these type coffee drinks, but Hubs enjoyed it for a weekend treat - both making it (he does love that espresso machine and frother thingy) and drinking it. I have to say it was pretty!

The first time I made this drink was quite a few years ago! I found a recipe on line to make my own vanilla syrup to. The vanilla syrup is so easy to make and so much cheaper. However, now I just prefer the milk and coffee. The milk can be heated in each cup in the microwave for 1 minute and then whisked with an Aerolatte. On the weekends I sometimes add whipped cream and drizzle with caramel or chocolate syrup. The same submitter also has the recipes flavored latte, basically this recipe with any flavored syrup, and mocha. Both are excellent recipes!
