Tiramisu Bowl: Serve it Your Way! Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 1)

This is a great substitute when you want tiramisu but half the work though it doesn't taste exactly the same but its a great desert. The coffee flavor of the Nilla wafers is a nice contrast to the rich decadent layer of cream cheese mixture. With chocolate and berries to accent it all you really just can't go wrong. I've made this several times and its always a hit at dinner parties. Coffee liquor is also a nice touch if you drizzle the wafers with it either in place of or along with brewed coffee. I debated giving this one a full 5 stars only because it is just slightly similar to the original tiramisu.

Served this at a dinner party and it was a hit! I changed the following: used 1 package of cheesecake pudding and 1 package of vanilla pudding. Also, both puddings were low fat/low sugar. Used non-fat milk. I didn't have a grater so I just grounded up the chocolate. Lastly I used strawberries instead of raspberries. Next time I will probably add more coffee and vanilla wafers as I felt there were not enough. Otherwise, still tasted AWESOME! Lastly I also placed it in a dessert bowl and it looked beautiful. Next time I will be sure to take a picture.

Made this easy dessert for a Church Picnic and it was the hit of the dessert table! Substituted crushed mini Oreos for grated chocolate and even left out 1/2 a package of the pudding mix (accidently). Will definitely make this again!!!
