The Big Easy Spicy Shrimp Dish

  1. In Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in bell pepper, onion and celery; cover and cook 5 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  2. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes and chiles. Heat, covered, over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer.
  3. Add shrimp to vegetables and increase heat to high. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, tossing, until shrimp are pink and just opaque in the center. Add sauce; stir well and return just to a simmer.

Delicious! I used large, shelled, defrosted, cooked shrimp. For a more spicy taste, add chili powder. I served it over pasta twists.

It was alright, just glorified spaghetti marinara with shrimp with way too much onion. I don't think we'll be making it again.

If you are looking for something that is very tasty, super easy and quick to prepare, look no further! Everyone loved this dish "as is", but it is also very adaptable, if you wanted to add other ingredients, such as mushrooms, etc. Can be made spicier, if desired, just by adding a touch of hot sauce. Hope this helps and enjoy!

I guess i just dont like "shrimp spaghetti" and thats all this is sorry

Too much prep for something that is not that good. Terrible as leftovers. No really worth the effort.

Two days later my husband was still talking how good the dish was.I used fozen shrimp and it came out fine.
