This was ruined by the soy sauce. Apparently it's way too much and overpowered everything, giving the meat a slightly sweet taste. That's not the flavor you're looking for when it comes to carne asada. The salsa was ok, although a little too spicy for my taste. That could have something to do with the size of the peppers. And it needs more than a "pinch" of salt. I put in about a teaspoon and it was edible.
I wouldn't make this again. Something told me all that soy sauce was a bad idea. Is soy sauce even supposed to be used in Mexican cooking? Never heard of it. Next time I'll make it the traditional way with salt, pepper, and garlic on the meat, served with pico de gallo.
