"Sweet succulent plum-flavored liqueur for great gifts, to indulge in by itself, or for plumtinis!" — Belinda
Watch video tips and tricks
16 cups black or red plums, pitted and cut into eighths
3 1/4 cups white sugar, divided
3 cups 100 proof vodka
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract, divided
1 orange peel in pieces, divided
This came out really delicious! The vanilla flavor and the sugar make it really sweet so much that the vodka taste almost disappears.
Mine came out on the sweet side. I'm not sure if this is due to the type of plums I used or the amount of sugar in this recipe. Guess I'll have to try again next year ;). Very good in plumtinis.
