Original Recipe Yield 1 10-inch crust
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt
  • 1/2 cup Filippo Berio Extra Light Olive Oil
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest

Directions

  1. On a sheet of waxed paper, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and a pinch of salt; set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, sugar, egg and lemon zest until smooth. Add the dry ingredients. Mix until all dry ingredients are absorbed. Shape into a smooth disk.

Footnotes

  • Vanilla Sweet Pastry Dough
  • Omit the lemon zest. Replace with 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract.
