This has a few ingredients missing ....
The one I use has1.1/2 c flour,,3 tsp baking powder,,1/2 tsp salt,,1 c.shortening or a mixture of butter and shortening,,1 c brown sugar,,1/2 c.milk,, and 2 cups oats...chill first and roll out and bake at 350 for 16 to 18 min...these youcan fill with date filling later
We were looking for a recipe similar to the thin, crisp oatcakes served while in Scotland. These were too soft and gummy
This seems to be missing some fundamental ingredient.. flour maybe? It didn't work at all, it remained very gooey until they basically burned on the outside. Not at all like oatcakes.
