I tried this recipe for my first ever attempt at making biscuits and gravy, and it turned out pretty good! My biggest fear was that it wouldn't thicken, but the texture was perfect! If it had any fault, it was that it was a little bland, but since it's such a simple recipe, I think the sausage you use will make or break it. I can also see how some might want to increase the flour and milk since it ends up with a pretty heavy sausage-to-gravy ratio as written (though I would think it would be more bland that way).
