A great basic recipe. I didn't understand the random addition of the heavy cream, but I just skipped that ingredient.( I assume it was going to be for a frosting) I did add twice the vanilla, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of salt. Salt is always a good idea in sweets because it rounds the flavors and make it more than just sweet. If you don't have the counter space to roll out your cookies, you can do what I did. Shape your dough into a cylinder, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and hang in your fridge. The you can cut coins and have round cookies ready. This method is not for those who want to use cutters.
