Oh my. I left my husband to make the dinner tonight and he chose this recipe. Thank God I wasn't very hungry. It wasn't good at all. The breadcrumbs are overwhelming. It tasted like breadcrumbs. That's it. Please if you make this used fresh breadcrumbs and only use 1/2 cup and add them at the end. Or just choose another recipe.

This was SO good! I crumbled up 3 slices of bread, & next time I'll do 4, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Will be making this again SOON!

This recipe was so delish!!! Nice change from the traditional meatloaf recipe. I sauteed some spinach with the onions/mushrooms and halved the bread crumbs and it was perfect. I used the other half of the breadcrumbs with the meat mixture to hold it together better. LOVED IT! And so did the hubby!

I have a Taste of Home cookbook with this recipe and made it. AWESOME! Easy recipe and delicious. My husband usually likes meatloaf with sweet ketchup sauce or BBQ sauce, but said this was the best meatloaf he'd ever had.

This is the recipe my mother always made. I have tried others but this is always the best and my favorite. I used Onion soup mix in the meat.

if you like massive heaps of bread crumbs that aren't incorporated into the beef, then this is definitely the recipe for you. all facetiousness aside, this was plain BAD. i had high hopes, but there is nothing more to say other than bread crumbs and MORE bread crumbs. i followed the recipe exactly as written thinking the loaf stuffed with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and various delicious spices was a can't miss--what a disappointment. i might need counceling after this one.

this was delicious even my picky kids loved it i made a few variations such no celery and i added bread crumbs to the meat but it was still lovely thank you ive been looking 4 a way to dress up meatloaf
