Recipe by Nancy
"Italian cookie also known as honey clusters. My family has made these every Christmas for years. We make several batches and like to use a little extra chocolate. Walnuts or pine nuts also work in place of almonds. If the batter is to sticky add a little extra flour. Good luck."

2 1/2 cups
vanilla bean, halved lengthwise
chopped semisweet chocolate
blanched slivered almonds
1 (1.75 ounce) package
multicolored sprinkles (jimmies)
vegetable oil for frying
confectioners' sugar for decoration
Although this recipe took A LOT of work and time I really enjoyed the final product. I made this for a New Year's party and although it was a hit it was a little messy for everyone to be eating with their hands. I would recommend serving this as a unique desert at a sit down dinner so that people can use their forks!
