Instead of using a package of leek soup I used a package of Knorr's Spicy Vegetable soup mix. I used 16oz of sour cream instead of just one cup. I also added 3 chopped green onions. I did not use water chestnut or Worcestershire sauce. This is better if left overnight before consuming.

Really good dip. I normally don't care for spinach but this was really tasty. Instead of leek soup I used vegetable soup mix because that's what I had on hand. Also instead of the sweet bread I used pumpernickel bread and Tostitos chips. I could have made a meal out of this.

We really enjoyed this! I used only one round bread (for the "bowl") and just cut up a 12 pack of the Hawaiian rolls to dip. They were a dollar cheaper! I also lightly toasted the dipping bread in the broiler. Also, I couldn't find the leek soup mix so I just used Knorr vegetable soup mix. The water chestnuts were a great addition!

Can I say "crowd pleaser"? I made this for a party, and I did have a LOT of food for the event. This recipe, which was easy to make, received nothing but rave reviews. The first taste does makes you wonder whether there's crabmeat in it... it's rich and delicious. I went with another rater's suggestion to use Knorr vegetable mix (in the packet); I did had to scour 4 supermarkets to find the loaves of King's Hawaiian (found at Acme), but I don't think the recipe would work as well without it (by replacing with pumpernickle or something else). I look forward to making it again for our Christmas dinner party.

Use Knorr Vegetable Recipe dry mix. Use at least 16 oz of sour cream; next time I will use even more as this turned out a little too salty for my taste. Use 3 or 4 sliced green onions too. This is sooooo good!

I'm sure it is good with the Leek Soup, but I recommend Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix instead. The King's Hawaiian Bread is a perfect compliment to this dip. If you cannot find the large round bread, their Hawaiian dinner rolls are just as good! ;)

Im not a spinach guy, But the first time I tried it at a party I loomed over this dip like a raveness wolf. I was embarrased at my own glutney. So I learned to make it. Once you core the Hawaiian bread, you can cube or simply thin slice it Here's the KICKER!! Make a garlic butter and brush slices. place in oven on broil till slightly browned. what a combo !!!
