Good green beans! I do not normally care for Asian prepared dishes, but I thought this one was OK. My bf gave it a thumbs up (which surprises me since he and I NEVER agree on any dish!!!). I made this as a side to go with teriyaki pork tenderloin by Kristen Croke that I served last night. I halved the recipe since I was also serving it alongside garlic mashed potatoes. The sauce/bean ratio was perfect IMHO (I think others complained that there was too much sauce...). I made a few changes, one by accident. Instead of adding the cayenne to my teriyaki/broth mixture, I added it to the green beans in my skillet. My intentional changes were subbing fresh garlic for garlic powder (I used the one LARGE garlic clove I had left from another recipe). I also added a pinch or two of red pepper flakes for more heat/flavor and several generous dashes of dried minced onion to cut preparation time. I did not add the red pepper called for (the red pepper seemed out of place to me...). I did need to saute my green beans for a little longer than directed in order for them to be to my liking. All in all, I think this is a good recipe, but a little lacking in flavor, at least for me. Thanks for sharing though!
