Original recipe makes 24 servings Change Servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Microwave butter in large, microwave-safe bowl on High (100%) power for 1 minute; stir until melted. Stir in sugar and water. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in 1 cup morsels. Spread into prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Spread with whipped topping. Sprinkle with remaining morsels. Refrigerate until serving time. Cut into bars.

These were better the second day than the same day they were baked. So don't be disappointed when you first taste them. You might be surprised the next day! Also the stores here in Meridian, Mississippi did not carry the holiday colors so we had to use the regular boring colors of brown/white...what a drag. Oh well...they tasted good anyway.

My family LOVES these. The only thing I do different is that I use Milk Chocolate chips or Dark Chocolate chips.

Well, I liked the Christmas Flave to it it was a really good recipe. But for me it was a little rich, i dont know if it was how i prepared it but i could only eat a small amount
