Smoked Tomato Bisque

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 10 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups water, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 dash liquid smoke flavoring
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Combine the tomato paste, tomato sauce, and tomato puree. Simmer and add the dried herbs. Stir in the heavy cream and liquid smoke and season to taste with salt and pepper. Gently heat but do not boil.
