Ingredients

  • 1/3 head iceberg lettuce - rinsed, dried, and chopped
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup croutons
  • 1 large tomato, cut into wedges

Directions

  1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
  2. Place lettuce in 4 small serving bowls, sprinkle with bacon and cheese.
  3. Circle the bowl with croutons. Place three croutons on the cheese to represent the eyes and nose of a face.
  4. With 1/4 of the tomato, cut a wedge to represent a smiling mouth. Place at bottom of bowl.
  5. Drizzle with favorite salad dressing.

Very cute idea. My kids love salads but they still found the face humorous.
