I have made this at least 6 times and I always get raves. I don't change a thing and it is so easy. I have used several bottled sauces (I live in Houston) so it is a sweeter southern style sauce. Make sure to heat it atleast 30 minutes more after draining and adding your bbq sauce.

Wonderful! this is the best recipe on here for pulled pork that I've tried and I have tried several. I cooked on high 1 hour and then low 6 hours. I also added kosher salt, onion powd4er and garlic powder and stabbed the meat with a fork all over. Just before serving I mixed in a little Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Delicious!

Absolutely amazing!!! I followed one of the ratings advice to pull my pork apart and add my BBQ sauce 1hr before it was finished. It was the best pulled pork we have ever had!!! I served it on fresh pretzel buns from our baker and they were TO DIE FOR!!!!! This is a KEEPER!!!

OK - so I'll admit that the pork (I used a tenderloin) was as tender as could be, but all I could taste was root beer. Also, a reviewer said she won a contest using "Sweet Baby Ray's" BBQ so I went out and bought that and it was way too sweet. I will try again cooking in coke or beef broth (NOT ROOT BEER) and I will either make my own BBQ sauce or use a different brand.

I did not care for this recipe. The root beer gave the pork such a funny taste. From now on, I'll stick to my traditional pulled pork recipe.

Super easy and tasty... I made exactly as written with pork tenderloin and KC Masterpiece Original BBQ sauce. Everyone loved it. I served it with Hawaiian Sweet break rolls. I could slightly taste the root beer but don’t think others noticed since I knew it was in there. While not the best ever pulled pork perry darn good especially since it was so so easy.

Okay...hmm. Made this exactly as written. Ended up with meat that was so mushy, it was almost off-putting. I now see why several other reviewers said that pork loin is not the ideal meat for a slow-cooked pulled pork recipes. I wish I had used a tougher cut of meat. The flavor was good, it was just the texture..no substance to it at all. So, a good recipe, but avoid the tenderloin, use something tougher so you don't feel like you are eating bbq pork flavored mashed potatoes!
