My hubby and I have never made a St. Patricks day dinner and wanted to go traditional with the corned beef and cabbage. We were up late and decided to put everything in the slow cooker as suggested. We got up this morning and have been picking at it and reminding each other that it was for dinner.(smile) This is a great recipe. I will be making this again.
As suggested I put the cabbage in the last hour of cooking and I added a whole scotch bonnet pepper, to add that additional kick of flavor, because we like our food a little spicy, but the flavor is what was the real benefit of the pepper not the heat. (so do not cut it open, just toss it in whole).Yum! Thank you for sharing your recipe. Great for first time cookers.
