I made this today following the advice of naples34102 and serving it Burrito bowl style as suggested by her daughter Sweetooth122 and to describe it as amazing would be and understatement. I don't think it could have been any easier to make something so delicious. I put it in the crock pot before we went to church this morning and it was perfect by the time we got home. My whole family enjoyed it. We added a sweet corn salsa, guacamole and sour cream and WOW. This is a keeper and has made it into my monthly dinner rotation.

I only had a 2 1/2 lb roast and I read reviews and doubled spices with the exception of the cinnamon. I challenge you when preparing for the 1st time do NOT live cinnamon out. It adds a nice flavor and it works. I to will add this to my list of favorites!

By far, the best pork roast I have ever had. I did double the spices as other reviewers suggested. This will definitely be my go to recipe for pork.

This was so incredible. So simple and delicious! We have a chili recipe that uses many of the spices in this recipe, including cinnamon, which adds such a great flavor to any meal, it's my favorite spice! The house smelled great 30 minutes after I started this, and I cooked it quicker since I just found this recipe 2 hrs. before dinnertime. I sliced a pork loin, about 4 lbs. into 4 sections and cooked it on high for 2 hrs, then lowered the crock pot to low and cooked the rest a couple of hours more just to see how it would work out. It was awesome after 2 hrs! We sliced it thin and wrapped them in a flour tortilla with a bit of homemade salsa, sour cream and just a bit of cojack cheese...so incredible! Will make again...maybe today!! We also added some chopped onion (about 1/2 cup), and thinly sliced peppers(about 1 cup) while it was cooking ~ yummy!

It's quickly become a family favorite. I also doubled up on the spices in my most recent recipe and it's now a go to recipe for family gatherings!

I have tried this recipe, but then decided to kick it up. I cut the roast into workable chunks, and I did everything the same except I added half a can of chipotles with adobo to the rub, then smeared it all over the meat and let it stand for about 4 hrs. I put the meat in the crockpot, then cut a large orange in half and squeezed the juice over the meat, and dropped the halves into the pot. Cooked on low for 8 hrs...amazing! I only gave 4 stars since I tweaked it. We made pork carnitas tacos with this.

Excellent! And I agree with the others, the house smells WONDERFUL as this is cooking. For those who commented on the lack of flavor, here is what I did. I rubbed the spice mixture on the night before and let sit in the fridge overnight. This is essential in letting the flavors soak into the meat. My roast was 3.5 pounds and it was perfectly done after 8.5 hours when I checked it. It came out super moist. I pulled the meat, then put it in a foil pan with some of the liquid. I tossed it around a few times then put it under the broiler for 5 minutes. Some nice crispy edges, and moist, savory meat. YUM! The only ingredient change I made was to add the juice of half an orange. Everything was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. The cinnamon flavor is there, but not overpowering at all. It gives the recipe a unique flavor that make people ask what it is. I did find a light sprinkle of salt over the pulled meat brought out even more flavor. This rivals my favorite carnitas that I usually get in my burrito bowl at that famous fast-food restaurant. I will be making this again and again.

I thought this was good and easy. I took others advice and doubled the spices, except for the cinnamon. I only needed one cup of chicken broth.
