Simple Turkey Chili Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 7)

My family loves the leftover dinners I make with the turkey and ham from the holidays. I used leftover turkey (mostly the white meat) instead of ground turkey, and pinto beans instead of kidney beans. I also added some canned corn. The seasonings were great, adding just enough zing to be a spicy but not so hot as to make it inedible. It was a bit soupy at first, but thickened up as I put it in the crockpot on low after throwing it together. Thanks for a great meal!

I have made this 2 times and we loved it both times. The only changes I made were to add a can of black beans. I also did not mash the beans. The first time I tried this I used the crockpot and it was excellent. The second time I prepared as directed and it was just as good! Thanks for the easy, yummy recipe.

Good flavor. Omitted cayenne pepper. Too watery, will try with 1 to 1 1/2 cups water next time. Added 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed in a bit of cold water to help thicken. Would be nice with mushrooms. Topped with sour cream and shredded cheddar.

This recipe is fantastic. It has become a family favorite. Being a mom of three, I am always on the go and being able to whip up a hearty, flavorful meal that ALL enjoy in one hour is key! I dial down the chili and cayenne powder by about half so the kids are able to tolerate it.

I'm SO glad I didn't add the two cups of water required, it would've been too soupy. At least for my taste. As for the taste, it was pretty good. All I added that was extra was a can of corn and 1 1/2 Tb of red pepper flakes for a kick! Oh, and I didn't use ground turkey. I had some leftover turkey breast from last night's dinner and I used that instead. I prefer a chunkier, meatier, chili!

The BEST chili recipe (although I definitely put a lot more of the spices it calls for.) I make 2 batches and have on-hand in the fridge the whole week for me and my husband. Simple and healthy!

Really like this recipe, I doubled it, used half tomato soup instead of water or broth. Two cans of kidney beans only mashed one can and black beans and added some sweet peppers. It packed just enough heat for me, but my husband thought it was a little too much - sour cream evened it out for him. Will definitely fix again

I made this with half regular chili powder and half Ancho chili powder (I found this at Kroger, their brand too). I did not mash my beans, and used kidney, pinto and black beans (one can each drained). I also used two onions. I think that I would add one green bell pepper, chopped along with the onions and a can of diced green chilies to the next batch. Good stuff and it would be just as good meatless.
