"This is pretty much like the shrimp lo mein you buy at an Asian takeout place. You can use chicken instead of shrimp or even both for a delicious mix. To make it healthier you can throw in some chopped veggies too." — melodee

1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 large cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Made this for dinner in order to avoid turning on the oven in the heat. I made it per the recipe, except I used toasted sesame oil in place of the vegetable oil. It was a good amount for my husband and me. Yummy!
this dish turned out tasty. The corn starch glaze wasn't the most attractive thing and I will cut the sugar to at least half next time as it was way sweet. It was definitely tasty enough to give another try though!

needs more soy less sugar, used linguini. very good
I simplified this to make for my 3-year-old. He liked it a lot.
This had a very bad flavor. I think it was the housin sauce in the lo mein. It tasted like black licorice.
This is a tasty little dish that has a nice, clean flavor. I would probably use a little less sugar the next time but it was still very good. Everyone enjoyed it.
I used less noodles and added steamed broccoli and carrots.
