1 1/2 pounds
button mushrooms, finely chopped
cayenne pepper, or to taste
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
extra-hot prepared horseradish, or to taste
The bread and fillings:
1 (1 1/2) pound
round loaf of crusty bread
2 (1 pound)
beef rib-eye steaks, well trimmed
finely textured pate (such as foie gras), sliced
Love Chef John and loved the sandwich! Only made minor changes. Instead of the rib-eye steaks, I layered chicken, turkey and beef slices and I added cheese. You have got to try this and his other recipes. Trust the Chef!
