Made this with broccoli. A big hit even with my 7 year old! Hubby normally not a big broccoli fan but he liked it made this way.

These had a very good flavor... I really like them... I made just as the recipe says and they turned out wonderful will definately make again... great way to eat fresh beans UPDATE: I tried with asparagus... and turned out pretty good... better with beans though

This was AMAZING! I added 2 large garlic cloves- minced, and topped with sliced toasted almonds, and i also recommend in usig a whole can of chicken broth, alot more flavor....it was AMAZING will cook this many times!!!!

Not worth the extra effort of making regular fresh green beans. May try again, but add garlic or herbs to the recipe.

I have made this recipe so many times and LOVE it! I've even made it for company and they've always enjoyed it. Sometimes when I add the broth it evaporates immediately and the beans start to burn so I have to add more broth. I made it once with vegetable broth instead and it was still pretty good although I prefer chicken broth.
