Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion until tender, about 4 minutes. Add apples, vinegar, salt, and pepper; cover skillet and cook until apples are tender, about 3 minutes. Add kale; cover and cook until kale is tender, 4 to 5 minutes.

The combination of the ingredients made for a delicious meal. I did add smoked sausage to bulk up this dish and it really complemented the dinner, I served it over rice. Yummy!

When it was almost finished cooking I tasted it and thought it needed something to boost the flavor, so I added 2 tsp of honey and 1/4 cup of chicken stock and simmered a little longer. Loved it! Excellent with Pork Chops.

Taste-wise, its fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the texture of cooked greens, so I struggle with eating even the tastiest of cooked greens. While I didn't care for the texture of this recipe, either, the apple texture really helped a lot and made it more palatable for me.

this recipe is great! i added just a tiny bit more vinegar, salt, and pepper. we also used gala apples instead of red delicious. the flavor was amazing! we are definitely going to make this again very soon!

Turned out most excellent. Added some micro mustard greens 'cause I had 'em. Massaged the kale with salt per suggestion. Perfect!

Excellent! I used baby kale so it was more of a spinach consistency, a honeycrisp apple (because I don't care for red delicious), and added a bit of crumbled bacon (because..well.....bacon!!!. Will definitely make again!

This was absolutely delicious! My wife is not a big fan of onions so I only used half an onion and chopped it. Otherwise, prepared as suggested. A+
