I made these as a side dish for dinner. These apples were perfect, everyone in my family loved them. I do think they need to have a lid on while cooking, mine didn't get too tender after 6 min. but as far as flavor I would have to say they're delicious! I didn't change a thing except for adding a tsp of vanilla, and I think they would be just as good if I didn't add it. I would love to try them on ice cream or in a pastry of some sort. These would also be a quick way to make an apple crisp. I will make these on a regular basis from now on.

These apples are excellent. We've found that Granny Smith apples give us the best results. The only thing we do differently is to add a bit of Mexican vanilla to them while they're cooking, and it puts them over the top. These are great as a topping to the Creme Brulee French Toast recipe on this site. So good.

To die for...these tasted just like the ones we get in a restaurant! I followed it to a T, except that I halved the recipe for my husband and I. Served with grilled NY strip steaks and baked potatoes. Will definitely make again. Thanks :)

This is such an easy recipe! So simple, minimal ingredients; a keeper for sure. I topped them off with my favorite crumble recipe (1/2c. flour, 1/2c. oats, 3/4c. sugar, 1/2c. mayo, cinnamon) and a scoop of ice cream. Yummy!!

This is the apple recipe I have been searching for! All of the others I've attempted have been super runny, this has a delicious thick sauce and the apples cooked up perfectly. I added a bit more cinnamon, but that's just our preference for spice. This is a keeper for sure!

4 teaspoons of flour will work in place of cornstarch - I read the reviews and had high expectations for this recipe.. it is even better than I imagined. This really works with many different types of meals, even on its own!! Definitely recommend for an easy dessert or if you have a bunch of extra apples laying around!

Very easy to make on a Saturday morning. Hubby loved them, and even said they tasted "professional" LOL I put them next to some pancake stacks and topped them off with whipped cream.
