For this satisfying dish, cabbage leaves are stuffed with a seasoned mixture of rice, ground beef, pork and ham. They are then laid on a bed of sauerkraut and simmered to completion. This is the best stuffed cabbage recipe I've ever tried.

These cabbage rolls are stuffed with a filling of ground beef, rice, and raisins. The stuffing gets an extra tang from citric acid, or "Jewish sour salt."

Grape leaves are filled with a mixture of rice, onions, currants, pine nuts, mint and spices, and then gently steamed. Serve chilled, as is traditional, or warm, as desired. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over dolmas before serving.
