Original Recipe Yield 6 - 1/2 dozen
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup candied cherries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup shredded coconut

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl. Blend in milk and vanilla and add to creamed mixture. Blend in flour, pecans and cherries.
  2. Shape mixture into three 7 inch rolls. Roll each in coconut; wrap rolls and chill overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Slice each roll into 1/4 inch slices and bake 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets.
